A Fortress Upon a Hill

Sat Jun 27, 2009, 11:23 AM
Everything happens eventually, be it a thousand years or five minutes, it'll all come around somewhere, somehow, and often when you least expect it. Sometimes it happens when you're down, other times when you're all singing and all dancing but it happens, always does. Which brings me to the round about point of where all my free time is about to go, yes, it's true, I might well be....employed.

After a rather strange conversation where details were exchanged and attendences secured I ended on the rather scary thought that I begin some form of work (beyond my freelance stuff that stopped a while back) on Monday, this monday. Dooms day approaches people, batten down the hatches and such because last I checked, no one makes it out of dooms day =p

So yeah, employment, go me, or something =) barring that I hope to have a new piece which is for the muse competition going up tomorrow evening and Black and white should update tomorrow as well. Lots to do and get ready for which is oh so fun heh but it'll all be experience as people say and hey, its employment :)

Besides that little point hmm, writing is going well enough and I'm doing rather well in and of myself, life is good, very good infact :) I hope everyone else is doing as well if not better, now though I better sign off here and get to doing more stuff in prep for Monday =p

(fires the ejector seat!) *Whoooosh!*

Hmm, note to self ; remove the roof before applying ejector seat...on a plus note, at least I wasn't in that seat *phew* ahem, so you have found me, clearly my skills at being all sneaky and ninja-like failed but against so worthy an opponent I shall feel no shame ^^

Also fear my overly long reply to a short comment (mwhahahahaha..ahem) Good to see you :D How've you been?

Hey Rob,

This is Tamsyn, having completed my epic hacking into Soph's account while she was eating a bucket of ice cream. I'm safe until she finishes the tub, and as it's Ben and Jerry's....that won't take long :fear:

She says thanks for the epically long comment, and she loves you like p0rnz...her wording, not mine. (Crazy dyslexics and all...)

Sophie's doing good, however, and the gaming day was good fun :D Hope that everything's good with you, and she'll reply soon enough, I expect =p So I'll just finish off the essay that I've written here, hope you didn't injure yourself with the ejector seat (You're going to need another one of those...she is that scary)

I'll speak to you soon! Hope that your day was good :)

I've read the prologue and chapter 1. Really like the different tone of each piece, worked really well with the races of the characters.

The third person (never sure on the right terms I'm afraid) for the prologue worked well with how you portrayed the vampire(s). Gave them that sense of detachment and maybe a slight aloof-ness. The imagery was also very good.

Chapter 1 was a nice change in perspective (right word?) and with the internal thoughts of the character playing really well with the almost playful character style he seemed to exhibit. I haven't had a chance at reading 2 and 3 yet but should this evening :D (and wow long comment heh)

Yay, I'm glad it worked! ^^ It's very reassuring to hear your view on it. Thank you!~

And yes, it's third person. (:
